2012 Candidate for House of Representatives committed to Women’s Rights
Friday, May 4, 2012 – The National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC) proudly re-endorses Congresswoman Gwen Moore as she runs for re-election in Wisconsin’s 4th District. Congresswoman Moore, a member of Congress since 2005, is known for her commitment to public service and to the people of Wisconsin.
“Congresswoman Gwen Moore is a champion of civil rights and a fighter for women across America. She fearlessly brings truth and reason to issues that are unnecessarily attacked,” said President Linda Young. “We are proud to endorse such a courageous woman!”
Congresswoman Moore has shown her commitment to the women’s movement by serving as the Democratic Co-Chair of the Congressional Women’s Caucus. Through this position she can provide further support of pro-woman legislation.
“Congresswoman Gwen Moore is the kind of woman we hope to see in office. She is strong, committed, and passionate. She should absolutely be re-elected in Wisconsin’s 4th District,” continued Vice President of Political Planning Donna Lent.
The NWPC is a national, non-partisan, grassroots membership organization dedicated to identifying, recruiting, training and supporting women candidates for elected and appointed offices at all levels of government.
