Democratic Response: DNC anti-Romney bus tour rolls into Boca

BOCA RATON, Fla. — As Mitt Romney makes his way through Florida Monday, some Democrats are voicing their opinions about him and his new running mate. Several members of the DNC going on their own bus tour to deliver their message. One of those stops right here in our area.

“We have a great lineup here with us today to keep Mitt Romney honest, although that is very challenging,” said Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Surrounded by seniors and her Democratic colleagues, South Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz goes on the attack against Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney and his running mate. “The truth is Mitt Romney and his newly announced running mate Congressman Paul Ryan, have proposed massive tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires, while throwing middle class Americans under the bus,” said Wasserman Schultz.

Wasserman along with other members of the DNC rolled into town on a bus tour called Romney Economics, the middle class under the bus tour, an anti-Romney tour throughout the state to bring attention to the former Massachusetts governor’s economic policies.

“I have spent hours looking at charts, stats, and data and I can tell you it’s the same old extreme right wing policies that got us into this mess in the first place,” said Gwen Moore, (D) Wisconsin.

Also on tour, Wisconsin Congresswoman Gwen Moore and Massachusetts State Representative Jeff Sanchez who say Romney promised more jobs and less debt, but failed to keep his word.

“By the time Mitt Romney left office, Massachusetts ranked first in highest debt per person during that time and the state dropped 47 out of 50 in job creation,” said Sanchez.
